Creator Application Terms

Last updated: 20 April 2026

Short version of what happens when you hit “Apply to Join” on our /join form. These terms govern the application itself. If we accept you, you will sign a full Creator Agreement before any paid workshop runs under the Elven Crafts brand.

Who we are

Elven Crafts is a platform that connects craft workshop facilitators with corporate clients and curious groups across Finland, Denmark, and (soon) the rest of the EU. Operated by Mariia Solodiankina (private entrepreneur, trading as Elven Crafts), Y-tunnus 3603623-2, registered in Finland. Contact: contact@elvencrafts.eu.

What “applying” means

By submitting the application form on /join, you are telling us you would like to be considered as a Creator on the Platform. This is not a contract. Neither you nor Elven Crafts is committed to anything until you are accepted and both parties sign a Creator Agreement.

You can withdraw your application at any time by emailing contact@elvencrafts.eu.

Eligibility

To be considered, you need to be:

  1. At least 18 years old
  2. Legally able to work as an independent business in your country of residence (in Finland: a toiminimi, Oy, or equivalent; in the EU generally: a registered business or about to register one before your first workshop)
  3. Willing to carry your own public liability insurance (vastuuvakuutus in Finland, erhvervsansvarsforsikring in Denmark, or local equivalent). Minimum cover is confirmed in the Creator Agreement.
  4. Able to deliver workshops in a language we can serve clients in (currently: English, Finnish, Danish, Swedish, Russian — others considered case by case)
  5. Practicing the craft you want to teach at a level where your work could be responsibly offered to paying participants
  6. Able to provide proof of identity and business registration if we ask for it during onboarding

If you are not yet set up as a business but want to be, that is fine. Let us know in the “anything else” field. We can point you at free Finnish Uusyrityskeskus resources.

What we do with your application data

We process the data you submit (name, email, city, craft, languages, portfolio link, experience, optional message) for the purpose of reviewing your application. Legal basis: pre-contract measures at your request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

  • Who sees it: Mariia Solodiankina and any reviewer directly engaged by Elven Crafts. We do not sell or share your data with other companies.
  • Retention: If accepted, we keep it for the duration of the Creator Agreement. If not accepted or you withdraw, we keep the application for up to 24 months to avoid re-reviewing the same person if they reapply, then delete. You can request deletion at any time.
  • Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection, complaint to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman. See our full /privacy for detail.
  • Form processor: the /join form is submitted through Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France, EU) via a Cloudflare Worker that proxies the request. See /privacy for full processor details.

Review process

We aim to reply within 7 business days. Replies come from contact@elvencrafts.eu.

Possible outcomes:

  1. Yes, let's onboard. We send you the Creator Agreement (v0.1 while the Platform is still a toiminimi; v1.0 once Elven Crafts Oy is registered), ask for a few supporting documents (insurance certificate, business ID), and set up your listing.
  2. Not right now. We tell you why and whether re-applying later makes sense.
  3. Maybe — more info needed. We ask you a few follow-up questions before deciding.

Commission expectations

The commission for accepted Creators is currently 0% for the first 6 months from your first paid booking, then 10% when you bring the client yourself and 20% when the Platform brings the client, with a firm rate set per Creator in the signed Creator Agreement. Commissions apply only to bookings generated through the Platform, not to your existing private clients.

This line is an expectation, not a binding offer — the number gets locked in your Creator Agreement.

Payment flow (at the Platform's current stage)

While Elven Crafts operates as a Finnish toiminimi (expected: until Elven Crafts Oy is registered, roughly Q3 2026): customers pay the Creator directly, the Creator invoices Elven Crafts the commission after the workshop, Elven Crafts pays within 14 days.

Once Elven Crafts Oy is live and Stripe Connect is integrated, the Platform will collect payment from customers and pay the Creator minus commission. You will be notified at least 30 days before this change.

What we will never do

  • Ask you for upfront fees, subscription fees, or listing fees. Zero pay-to-play.
  • Claim ownership of your workshop content, recipes, techniques, or personal brand.
  • Use your name or photos for marketing without your permission (granted via the Creator Agreement once accepted).
  • Share your data with advertisers, analytics companies beyond what is disclosed in /privacy, or anyone outside the review team.
