Create your own chainmail jewellery in a beautiful Copenhagen setting.

Join us for a hands-on 3-hour jewellery workshop where you’ll learn the ancient craft of chainmail — and leave with a piece you’ve made yourself. Whether you’ve never touched a jump ring before or you’re simply curious about metal weaving, this workshop is made for you.

What you’ll learn

Our facilitators Maria and Patrik — chainmail makers from Finland and Denmark — will guide you step by step through two classic chainmail patterns:

• European 4-in-1 — the foundational building block of chainmail, elegant and timeless
• Byzantine weave — a more intricate pattern with a bold, decorative look

You’ll choose your preferred weave, pick your rings and pendants, and design and finish your own piece — an earring, a bracelet, or a necklace. All tools and materials are included.

The venue

We’re hosted at Bien Contemporary, a creative and welcoming space in Copenhagen. We’ll bring snacks and refreshments — feel free to bring something extra to keep your energy high.

Extra time if you need it

No rush. After the guided 3 hours, you’re welcome to stay a little longer to finish your piece — we’ll keep the good atmosphere going.
