Maker terms & Conditions

Welcome to Elven Crafts — a warm, welcoming fair for handmade treasures.
Our mission is to connect buyers with true makers, celebrate local craft, and keep alive the magic of slow, thoughtful creation.
To keep Elven Crafts a safe, inspiring, and fair place, we ask every maker to follow these guidelines:

1. Handmade, Not Mass-Produced

  • Every item listed on Elven Crafts must be handmade or hand-designed by you (or your small team).
  • Reselling mass-produced goods, dropshipping, or selling factory-made products is not permitted.
  • All products sold must be physical handmade items. The only exception is workshops, where you may share your skills and knowledge in digital format.

2. No AI-Generated Products

  • All products must be created through human skill and creativity.
  • Fully AI-generated items (art, 3D prints, etc.) are not allowed.
  • Using AI for rough sketches or ideas is fine, but the final product must be your own handmade work.

3. Proof of Creation

  • Elven Crafts may request proof that an item was made by you.
  • Proof can include:
    • Photos or videos of your process
    • Work-in-progress shots
    • A short explanation of your techniques and materials
  • If proof is not provided, we may remove the item or suspend the shop.

4. Quality & Accurate Listings

  • Use clear, original photos — no stock images or stolen pictures.
  • Be honest in descriptions: include accurate dimensions, materials, and realistic shipping times.

5. Communication & Fulfillment

  • Reply to customer messages within a reasonable time (ideally within 48 hours).
  • Ship orders within the processing time you specify, secure the packaging.
  • Inform buyers promptly if a delay occurs.

6. Respect & Community

  • Treat buyers and fellow makers with respect and professionalism.
  • Hate speech, counterfeit goods, or plagiarism are not allowed.

7. Commission & Payouts

  • The listed selling price must already include VAT, delivery costs, and payment processing costs.
  • Elven Crafts retains a 7% marketplace fee from each sale.
  • The remaining funds (minus payment processor fees) are automatically transferred to makers via Stripe or their chosen withdrawal method.
  • Makers are responsible for shipping the item using their preferred delivery service, and for filing their own personal taxes.

8. Account Review & Suspension

  • Elven Crafts reserves the right to review, pause, or remove any shop or product that does not follow these guidelines.
  • Repeated violations can result in permanent suspension.
